Ptychochromoides vondrozo is a critically endangered species of fish in the Cichlidae family. It is endemic to the Mananara-sud river and its tributaries near Vondrozo in southeastern Madagascar.[1] These are deep and moderate to fast-flowing.[2] Its entire range covers less than 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi), which makes it highly threatened from continued sedimentation caused by deforestation.[1] It is also threatened by other species that have been introduced to the region.[1] It reaches about 20.5 centimetres (8.1 in) in length.[2]
